Nicaragua participated in the 2013 PDAC Event
Nicaragua recently participated in the 2013 Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention, the world’s leading mining event, with the objective of showcasing the successful development of the country’s mining sector and its investment opportunities.
In addition to a country booth (#1604), one of the highlights of Nicaragua’s participation in the event was the seminar entitled “Nicaragua: Discover the Mining Opportunities”, held on Tuesday March 5th, in room 205 DC-MTCC North Building and during which a more than 150 participants attended.
More than 27,000 participants from 120 different countries attended the event, in which Nicaragua hosted a booth and held a seminar showcasing the successful development of the country’s mining sector and its investment opportunities.
The Nicaraguan delegation that attended the conference, held in Toronto from March 3rd to the 6th, was led by the country’s Chamber of Mines and included representatives of PRONicaragua and the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM, for its acronym in Spanish), as well as renowned mining companies with operations in Nicaragua.
